Pulp Art!

noticed that the forums were looking a little lack luster so here goes.

back when i was 10 or something, a freind introduced me to spawn and i thought it was absolutly the best thing since sliced bread.

sadly those illusions were shattered the other day when i readover some of the early issues and realised how melodramatic it was.

I was first introduced to comic book medium through Frisch's. They had this line of Archy-like comics that were handed out to kids with a bunch of crayons.

I was first introduced to "real" comics through the Fox Kids X-Men cartoon from way back when. I used to wake up early before school to catch it and remember my dad giving the scoop on how it really happened in the comics. I got curious and bought a handful of X-Men titles when I was about 11.

I always watched the old X-Men and Spiderman cartoons. Heh, I even watched the Savage Dragon cartoon, though looking back on it that one was probably a mistake. Anyway, I always loved those cartoons when I was a kid, but as the shows ended I stopped following the characters. I bought most of my first comics from Stop and Shop, since they had a comic rack with the magazines. I was hooked ever since.

I was five when my mom gave me a Spider-Man Comic. After that, I started collecting comic books, mostly Bat Man and Spidey. But when I got into middle school, I looked away from comic books and tried to be (I hate to say the word) popular. When I was a sophmore in High school, I got back into comic books.

Loved the First 2 batman movies by Tim Burton, and my late Uncle Les (May he R.I.P.) got me hooked on the Heavy Metal Books. So now I look all sorts of comic.
