Pulp Art!

Heya everyone,

I have Corel PhotoPaint X4 and wonder if anyone uses the same program for coloring their comic book art? I'm looking for the best or most efficient way to to color in layers. One layer for the Black inked line work, then a layer of colors underneath and coloring special effects on top of the inks. I just can't seem to figure out how to make the open areas on the Black to be transparent for the colors to show through but keep the Black a strong opacity.

A little help?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

use photoshop instead.
No need to use an expensive photoshop... Element works fine...
Just scan your inked image....copy the background image into another one that you will give the option MULTIPLY
than...just add layer between the copy and the background and you will color inside the line without coloring them.
Very simple...
Photoshop element is not expensive...like 100$ max.

hope that helps

I like it 2....especially the way you draw muscles and the way you exaggerate bodyparts and still make a cool drawing like Joe madureira,etc...Keep up the good work.
