About Me:: Hi! I' m a graphic designer-illustrator-3d computer animator. I'm a long-time manga reader and I' m just now getting into mainstream comics. I'm afraid I don't really know much about the field so if anyone feels like recommending any of their favorite comic books, artists and so on I'd appreciate it. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could recommend any older comic books that I probably won't discover by browsing randomly through comic book store shelves. I' m a total sucker for black and white sketchy style and, as much as I risk getting booed for saying this, I'm not much of a superhero fan.

I occasionally flirt with the idea of giving comic art a shot but I lack the dedication required.

Favorite Comic Books:: the PEANUTS, Deathnote, Naruto, Bleach, Asterix et Obelix, Lucky luke, Gipsy, Azumanga Daioh

Favorite Artists:: Charles Schulz,Takeshi Obata, Masashi Kishimoto, Tite Cubo, Rene Goscinni, Albert Uderzo.

Favorite Superhero or Villan:: Snoopy, Ralph Wiggum, Rantanplan, Osaka (Azumanga Daioh)

recomendations, huh? have you ever read a web comic called paper XI? (http://manga.clone-army.org/pxi.php)granted, it's like the crazy bastard love child of david lynch and silent hill and makes just about as much sense but the visuals are AMAZING. kinda reminds me of your sin creatures acctually...

also, if sketchy's your thing, Dare Devil: Wake Up may be worth a gander. it's a really beutiful book that looks nothing like a mainstream superheroe (wow, i cannot spell today) book.
